Seth approached the bed and held up the glass. "I believe you ordered one of these."

"Thanks," Keening said and she took the glass. She drank a few gulps and then put the glass down.

Tek started to speak to the Captain, "Captain I believe we are close to the Dholari Homeworld. Maybe they can help us in finding out what happened."

"Maybe," Seth said, "but maybe they are the ones responsible for this."

"Well, I begin to think we didn't start from the right angle," Tek said, "You see, I suggested that maybe some organization wanted to threaten either Starfleet, or Jalando himself. But if so, why staying silent after announcing the abduction? Why putting two officers in a kind of stasis, saving their lives, by doing so the attackers didn't have them as a burden or a threat on their back?" Tek looked shortly at Keening, "No offence intended."

"What are you saying, counselor?" Seth asked, wondering how long it could take for someone to get to the point.

"My point is: if it was against Starfleet, then they would not care about letting two officers alive. If it was a personal vendetta against Jalando, they wouldn't care announcing they are holding him. And if they wanted something in exchange, they wouldn't have stayed silent so long. I think they already have what they want: They have Commander Jalando. The message might have been sent so we can go after the shuttle and rescue our men. And to keep us busy. The question is... In which way Jalando could be valuable? Besides the fact that he is an excellent officer."

Seth sighed. "At the moment the only motive I see is that they want something from us," he paused, "and they probably also know that anyone's life is valuable to us."

"Jalando was formerly the Chief Science Officer, would that had something to do with the destroyed probe and the data contained? I mean they have been attacked near Dholari homeworld."

The counselor then turned to Keening. "Your course deliberately avoided the Dholari territories... hum... sorry I mean the Venoghrian territories... did T'hims told you anything that might give us a clue?"

Keening looked at the counselor and moistened her lips. She sat up more and took another sip of the water. "I'm sorry..." she said. "T'hims insisted we didn't know what the Venoghrians could do, that they were ruthless, murderers. Thus, also insisted on this revised flight plan."

Keening gestured at the PADD. "Since it seemed only to add to our security at the time, I saw no problem in following it and told the Commander that."

The ASTC fell silent. "I'm sorry Captain, I should have seen it coming, sir."

"Kim, it's not your fault," Seth said softly. "If we had known something like this could happen, I wouldn't have authorized this mission."

Keening looked away. "I don't think I'm much of use right now, Captain," she began, slowly looking back at him again. "Until I remember and am... feeling better."

Seth nodded. "Of course."

Keening then looked at the Andorian doctor. "Doctor, you mentioned something about a coma..." she said and paused. "And a drug? I was drugged?"

"Yes," Vok answered softly, walking closer to the biobed. "You were drugged to keep you unconscious, in a coma. However, that drug also kept you alive: it slowed your bodily functions. Still, your body needed fresh water and food and stuff like that... so that's probably why you're drinking that much water now." He smiled.

"Guess I won't be returning to duty for awhile then," Keening said.

"I'm sorry to say, that would have to wait for at least a day or so," Vok answered. "Resting is very important for you now... you need to recover your strength."

(Reply Keening)

"It's just that this drug has had a big effect on your body. Now, that you've woken up, your body is taking over from the drug again," the doctor said. "Your immune systems are fighting an internal war, so to speak." He paused. "They can't do that when you're on duty."

(Reply Keening, Tek?)

"As I told you before, my advise to you is rest. But I understand that resting can be difficult for you and Mr. Ban, since you don't know exactly what happened." Again the Andorian paused. "If you want, we can get some personal belongings from your quarters, to make you think about something else than being here, and the reason why you're being here. How about it?"

(Reply Keening, Tek?)

"I will be returning to the bridge soon," Seth said and then he looked at Keening. "Don't worry about anything, we will find out what happened to commander Jalando." He smiled. "Just do what the doctor says and get some rest." While he said the last word he briefly looked at the counselor. "And get well of course."

(Reply Keening, Tek?, Vok?)

Seth nodded to Vok and Tek. "Doctor, counselor," he said and walked away to the exit.

(Reply Keening, Vok, Tek, any)
